Philosophies:

I love how children are naturally curious and eager to learn about their world through play and discovery. There is nothing better for a teacher...or a parent, for that matter, than to watch the proverbial light bulb go off in a child's head, and knowing you had a part in it. The daily hugs, smiles and laughter are also big perks in the life of a teacher! I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world

Personal Bio:

I have always loved school, so it is no surprise that I chose teaching as my career! I started my teaching career in 1990, when I moved from Iowa to Houston, Texas, to teach French at Reagan High School. Back then I never dreamed I would end up teaching preshool. However, after our daughter was born in 1999, I found myself volunteering more and more with younger children at church. I have since discovered that my love is in workin gwith the little ones. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time with TUMS was looking for a teacher for one of the preK 3's class last year. I am thrilled to be working with the 4 year olds this year! I feel very blessed to be a part of the family at TUMS and look forward to many more years here. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing piano, and keeping up with my French as much as possible.
